About Jen Holt

I have had a love for horses from a very early age and at 8 I learnt to ride at a local riding school which lead to me them out in return for extra riding. The farmer next door had a pony which I was able to ride and take to local competitions and when I was 14 I was lucky enough to own a pony of my own. In 2 years, we went from jumping local unaffiliated shows to jumping pony opens under British Showjumping rules.

At 16 I moved on to horses producing my own horses from unaffiliated level up to open level under British Showjumping rules. I was also responsible for the day-to-day care, treatment and rehabilitation of horses with a variety of injuries involving muscles, bones, tendons and ligaments. I have ridden out in a variety of racehorse yards, competed in one-day events, hunted and also planned and executed fitness plans for horses either coming back into work, getting them ready to go into training or recovering from injury.

I have recently refreshed my skills by passing BHS stages up to and including level 3 for both riding and care. In addition, I attained a merit award in the higher national diploma for equine science. I then studied equine thermal imaging (or thermography) with Equitherm under the direct tutorial ship of Sandie Chambers who is the Director of Equitherm Training and also Master Trainer and Thermographer.

I can offer photobiomodulation (PBM), otherwise known as low level laser therapy, to horses under the guidance of a qualified human/equine physio and in accordance with your vet’s diagnosis.
